PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra returns for its Summer Pops in the Park Concert, “A Night at the Oscars,” at the Temple to Music located inside Roger Williams Park. The concert, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m.
This year’s Pops in the Park will feature a night of "timeless movie-themed music from Star Wars to Titanic, bringing audience members into a “whole new world” of enjoyment," conducted by Troy Quinn.
The concert began in 2016 and has since become an annual Providence event, evolving and expanding its reach with each passing year.

We join with our partners in inviting the public to what is becoming an annual tradition for thousands of Rhode Islanders,” said Neil D. Steinberg, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Foundation.
“Community is the core of our work. Community starts where people join together to share experiences. There is no better place to celebrate the spirit of community than in one of the state’s best-loved spots.”
