Webster Five Welcomes New Controller, Sean Buckley, CPA
Pawtucket Resident Brings Wealth of Experience as a Public Accountant Specializing in Financial Institutions

Webster Five is pleased to announce that Sean Buckley, CPA, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, has joined the bank as controller. Buckley hits the ground running at Webster Five after having the bank as a client for several years while working at the national CPA firm, Wolf & Company, P.C. where he specialized in financial institution accounting.
“I knew from the first day I had Webster Five as a client that it was a great place,” said Buckley. “Everyone enjoyed being part of the bank and with its continuous growth, strong leadership team, and culture of giving back to the community, it always seemed like Webster Five was one step ahead compared with other community institutions. I’m excited to be part of the team.”
As Webster Five controller, Buckley will oversee the bank’s accounting operations including compiling financial information and activity, as well as working on the annual budget to meet the organization’s strategic initiatives.

According to Webster Five Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Brian Westerlind, Buckley brings valuable perspective to the controller role. “Sean’s background is such a great asset because he worked with a diverse roster of financial institution clients and has incredible insights,” said Westerlind. “We were his client for more than three years, so he already knows Webster Five inside and out and we are thrilled to have him.”
Prior to joining Webster Five, Buckley worked at Wolf & Company, P.C. for more than eight years, starting as an auditing team member and rising to audit manager. He is a graduate of Providence College and a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
