The future of Richmond is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Nathan Ballard, who are making a positive impact in and around Richmond.

Nathan, a graduate of Chariho High School, stands out as a remarkable young leader in Richmond for his impressive athletic performance, academic accomplishments and dedication to community service. As captain of the Chariho lacrosse team, Nathan shattered program records with 128 career goals and 184 points, cementing his legacy as a skilled athlete. His leadership on the field earned him accolades such as the “Maddie Mentality” Scholarship, which celebrates perseverance, courage and kindness, and the Westerly Community Credit Union - Joseph N. Cugini Memorial Scholarship.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Nathan served on the Student Advisory Board and was an active member of Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse, Big Brother Big Sister and other service-focused organizations. As he pursues a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Rhode Island with the goal of becoming a physical therapist, Nathan’s future promises to be as impactful as his high school journey.
