Tri-County Community Action is the local organization that administers the Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LiHEAP) and Good Neighbor Fund programs to residents in our area. This federal program (LiHEAP) assists income eligible homeowners and renters alike in paying their heat/utility bills. Staff approve applications and award grants to eligible folks to help ease the strain on their family budgets. In addition to the monetary grant, they can assist with weatherization measures that convert drafty inefficient dwellings into warm energy conserving homes. They also receive funding to assist sometimes with heating system and refrigerator replacement (among other measures).  There may also be funding coming to assist with water usage (LiHWAP). If you are in need of these services, please contact Tri-County at 401-519-1917.
