 AMENDMENT to the CODE OF ORDINANCES

Notice is hereby given that the Richmond Town Council will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING at the Town Hall on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. on proposed amendments to Ch. 4.12 of the Code of Ordinances. Ch. 4.12, Affordable Housing Committee. The amendments would change the makeup of the Committee.Â

Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order # 22-01, the public hearing will take place during a meeting remotely broadcast on Zoom on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. The electronic link to the meeting is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84657604950. The link also is available in the open meetings database on the R.I. Secretary of State's website and on the Town of Richmond website, http://www.richmondri.com. Â

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard on the proposed amendments at the public hearing. The proposed amendments may be altered or amended during the public hearing, without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any such alteration or amendment will be presented for comment during the public hearing.Â
Interested parties may obtain copies of the proposed amendments by contacting the Richmond Town Clerk's Office by telephone (401-539-9000, ext. 9) or email (townclerk@richmondri.com) between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.Â
Any person who will need communication assistance or any other accommodation to fully participate in the public hearing should contact the Town Clerk's office at least three business days before the meeting at (401) 539-9000, ext. 9. Any person who needs assistance to make the telephone call should dial 711.
