TOWN OF RICHMOND, R.I. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE ZONING MAP AND PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUTURE LAND

The Richmond Town Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. This hearing is for an application request from Lawrence G. Casey for a Proposed Zoning Map Amendment and Comprehensive Plan Amendment affecting two properties located at 301 & 310 Nooseneck Hill Road, Assessor’s Plat 2C Lot 16-1 and 2C Lot 4. The proposal includes a Zoning Map Amendment from R-2 (SingleFamily Residential) to LI (Light Industrial) and a Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map designation amendment from Medium Density Residential to Light Industrial., as shown in the maps attached.

ANTICIPATED REMOTE MEETING: It is anticipated that this meeting will be conducted remotely in Zoom format on March 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order No. 22-01, which is expected to be extended but has not yet occurred as of the publishing of this Notice.

POTENTIAL FOR IN-PERSON MEETING: If Executive Order No. 22-01 is not extended, and if no other legal authorization occurs prior to the meeting date, the Town Council will conduct an in-person meeting with a remote component on March 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM in the Town Council Chamber at Richmond Town Hall, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Wyoming, RI 02898. Please contact the Town of Richmond at (401) 539-9000 or at townclerk@richmondri.com for updated information as to meeting format and location. The public is invited to observe and participate in the deliberations of this meeting by accessing the meeting link set forth herein. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard on the proposed amendments at the public hearing. The proposed amendments may be altered or amended during the public hearing, without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any such alteration or amendment will be presented for comment during the public hearing. Interested parties may examine or obtain a copy of the applications at the Town Clerk's Office, Richmond Town Hall, 5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Richmond, R.I., between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays. Interested parties may also view the proposed amendments on the Town's website, www.richmond ri.com.
