Finally Friday: Highway Work, Memorial Day, Fireworks, Relay, Coyne Fund
It's Friday, and the weekend is here - check out today's things to know:

Rte. 295 Repairs - (RIDOT) is repairing the I-295 South overpass at Exit 4 (Plainfield Pike) following a truck crash on Route 14/Plainfield Pike Thursday. Both lanes reopened last night on I-295 South, but commercial vehicles are temporarily restricted to right-lane travel only while bridge repairs are completed. Periodic lane closures are possible during off-peak hours. Route 14 West will remain open; however, lane shifts near the overpass may be required to accommodate repairs.
Repairs will continue through next week. Signs alerting motorists have been established on I-295 South at Exits 4 and 5, and on I-95 South in Massachusetts.

Coyne Family Fire Fund - On the afternoon of Tuesday April 30th, Lt. John Coyne of the Smithfield Fire Department and his family lost their home due to a tragic fire. The Smithfield Firefighters, along with close friends of the Coyne's, have set up a fundraising page to help alleviate some of the financial burden that John and Dawn will face over the upcoming months. Although nothing can replace all that they have lost, every dollar will help. Through our love and support we can help the Coyne's through this critical time of need.
