John D. Imbruglio: WWII Veteran, Town Employee

The Smithfield resident passed away on Nov. 17, 2012.

 

John D. Imbruglio, 87, of Stillwater Road, a machinist for Union Camp in Providence before retiring, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at Heritage Hills Nursing Center. He was the husband of Phyllis J. (LeBelle) Imbruglio. They had been married for 64 years.

Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Anna (Brownell) Imbruglio. He had lived in Smithfield for 55 years. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Mr. Imbruglio had also worked for the Town of Smithfield.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Jane Dreschler of Warwick; Michael Imbruglio of Frederal Way, WA; Deborah Palmer of Chepachet; Paul Imbruglio of South Lake Tahoe, CA; Donna Daniel of Cumberland; eight grandchildren: Jason, James, John, Edward, Courtney, John, Aaron and Susan; great granddaughters: Kiana and Autumn, and a brother, Joseph Imbruglo of Palm Bay, FL. He was the brother of the late Anthony Imbruglio and Ann Daniels.

Funeral Wednesday at 9 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Burial in Greenville Cemetery.
