Joseph G. DesGranges, 87, of Willow Road, Greenville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Veterans Medical Center in Providence, according to Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home.
He was the husband of the late Irene L. (Descoteaux) DesGranges.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Eugene and Anna DesGranges. He had lived in Smithfield for 50 years, according to Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home.
Mr. DesGranges was an iron worker for 25 years before retiring. He was a Navy Veteran and a member of the Smithfield Elks Lodge #2309.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann DiBiase of Pawtucket, his son, Joseph T. DesGranges of Arkansas, his eight grandchildren, his six great grandchildren and his siblings: Donald DesGranges of Johnston and Pearl Binyon of Georgia. He was the father of the late Eugene DesGranges
His funeral service was Monday at ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial with military honors followed in RI Veterans Cemetery.
