Lillian R. Mandeville: Foster Mother to 34
The lifetime Smithfield resident passed away on Nov. 24, 2012.

Lillian R. [Thibeault] Mandeville, 89, of Farnum Pike, Smithfield died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at the Hospice Intake Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Mandeville.
Born in New Bedford, MA, a daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Goodreau) Thibault, she had lived in Smithfield her whole life.

Mrs. Mandeville was a foster mother to 34 children, taking in infants and toddlers into her home. She provided love and a nurturing home.
She leaves her children, Irene T. Bedard and Yvette A. Lemire, both of Burrillville; Kathyrine M. Desjarlais of Smithfield; Troy L. Mandeville of Swansea, MA; and Patricia E. Cook of Schenectady, NY; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Raymond L. Mandeville.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9a m from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Visitation Tuesday 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Michael’s Church.
