Timberlake Tickets at auction - Want two tickets to see Justin Timberlake at Fenway park on Aug 11? They will be up for grabs at the May 3 silent auction to raise funds for the new Old County Road Playground, thanks to the Morgan family. 

Toddler Storytime - East Smithfield Public Library will host its Toddler Storytime this morning at 10:30 a.m. Toddler storytime programs are for children aged 2-3.5 on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11 a.m. A parent/caregiver must participate in the program. Registration is required.

Relay for Life Meeting - Smithfield Relay For Life meets tonight, 5:30 p.m. at East Smithfield Public Library. Join the fight to end CANCER!  All ages welcome. For more information contact Michelle Burns at 401-349-0210 or mitctom152@cox.net.

SPD Female Self-Defense Class -  The Smithfield Police Department is excited to announce the 2013 Smithfield Police Female Self-Defense Program, which starts on Tuesday, March 12.

The program is offered, free of charge any female over age fourteen (14) who resides in Smithfield or works at a business in town. The program will meet once a week, on Tuesday nights, from 6:30 to p.m. for five (5) consecutive weeks.

Board post openings - The town is seeking members to serve on the Sewer Authority, Historic Preservation Commission, Affordable Housing Advisory Board, and Financial Review Commission. Interested parties should submit a letter of interest to the Town Manager’s Office, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 along with an application form.  A letter of interest may contain your interest or experience in the field of each particular board or commission that you are applying for and, optionally, résumé information.
