Mount's Steampunked Macbeth Debuts Tonight

Former Smithfield resident composing music for production.

Shakespeare on the Mount's 2013 summer production of Macbeth begins tonight at 7 p.m. at Mount’s Bell Tower Theater, 800 Logee St., Woonsocket.
Cinematic music, composed by Ernie Folcarelli, formerly of Smithfield, plays throughout the production. Folcarelli, a Berkley College of Music graduate, resides in Brooklyn, NY. His unique compositions lay a backdrop to the superb acting of Shakespeare on the Mount players from all over RI.

The production, presented in the round in an immersive theatrical experience, will also feature unique costuming — a modern Steampunk style (a neo-Victorian genre of art, literature, music, and popular culture that lends itself perfectly to Macbeth). Props and sets are all hand crafted by the company with aid from some of the top Steampunk artists in the Nation such as Joey Marsocci (a.k.a. Doctor Grymm).

The production plays through July 14  and July 18– 21  (Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m. Sundays).
