Peter S. Earle: Woodworker, Outdoorsman

Peter S. Earle, 70, a resident of Smithfield for 22 years, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, according to Quinn Funeral Home.

He was the husband of Tracey Critchlow. Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Stroud) Earle. Peter was a professional engineer and worked as a Product Marketing Manager for Philip's Electronics in Canada and Rhode Island for many years.

Peter was a talented woodworker and, after leaving Philips in 2002 devoted his time to designing and building furniture. An active outdoorsman, Peter enjoyed skiing and playing hockey. He was the proud father of Olivia Earle of Rochester, NY. Brother of Carolyn Lawton and her husband Gordon of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and Cathleen Gardner of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. 
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Tuesday 5-7 p.m. in the Tucker Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Peter's memory may be made to the Multiple System Atrophy Research Fund, SDS/MSA Support Group, 8311 Brier Creek Parkway, Suite 105-434, Raleigh, NC 27617.
