Raymond V. Roux: US Army Vet, Maintenance Worker at Bryant
Former Woonsocket man died March 6 at home.

Raymond V. Roux, 71, of Mapleville, a former employee at Bryant University, died Wednesday morning, March 6, at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Bernadette (Lessard) Roux, according to Menard-Lacouture funeral home.
Ray and Bernadette celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 2.

Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Herni and Yvonne (Blouin) Roux. He was a resident of the city for most of his life until moving to Mapleville two years ago.
Mr. Roux was a veteran of the United States Army.

Ray was employed at the Worcester Knitting Company in Worcester, Health Tex in Pawtucket and later in the maintenance department at Bryant University before retiring.
Ray was a longtime member of the Cercle Laurier.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by a son Mark A. Roux, and his wife Paula and their daughter Eva, of Lebanon, NH, a daughter Annette C. Roux, and her fiancé Arthur R. Ayotte, of Pascoag. He was the father of the late Paul Roux. He was the brother of Donald Roux, Yvette Plantier and Jeannine Harnley and the late Fernand, Eugene, Roland, and Helen Roux. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
