Sentinels Head to NP for Annual Thanksgiving Football Contest

The 41-year Thanksgiving Day rivalry continues on Thursday, as the Smithfield High School varsity football squad travels to North Providence High School for a scheduled 10:30 am contest.
In the history of the annual game, the Sentinals hold a 24-16 edge with one tie recorded since 1970.

Smithfield and North Providence finish the year mid-pack in Division IV, with the Cougars carrying a 6-3 overall record, good for third place, and the Sentinels holding fifth place with a .500 record.
