Smithfield Police Arrest Man Refusing to Leave Bryant Volleyball Courts
The following arrest information was provided by the Smithfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On May 27, at about 12:47 a.m., Smithfield Police responded to the volleyball courts at Bryant University for a report from Bryant Public Safety of a man refusing to leave the area.
Officers arrived at the university campus and spoke with the Public Safety officers, who said Christian Losurdo, 21, of 735 Prentice St. in Holliston, MA, a Bryant student, had become agitated when asked to pour out an open beer container he was allegedly carrying, according to Smithfield Police Capt. Michael Rheaume.

When the officers insisted, Rheaume said, they reported Losurdo struck one with a closed fist.
Smithfield officers arrested Losurdo at about 12:58 a.m. without further incident, charging him with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
