URI Names Locals 2013 Coastal Fellows
Students to conduct hands-on research to begin science careers.

The University of Rhode Island has announced its Coastal Fellows for 2013. The Coastal Fellows program is a competitive environmental fellowship initiative designed to involve URI undergraduate students in addressing current environmental problems.
Now in its 19th year, the program teams students with faculty, research staff and graduate students to conduct hands-on research that will the help students gain skills that will ensure their future success. The fellows will study such topics as invasive species, salt marsh ecology, evolutionary genetics, wildlife habitat, natural pesticides, shark behavior and water quality.
