Dolphin Slide - Register now - on Wednesday, June 19 the Dolphin Slide will be in the pool during the following sessions:
SESSION 1: 3:30 - 4:15 PM
SESSION 2: 4:30 - 5:15 PM
SESSION 3: 5:30 - 6:15 PM
Open to Members for FREE and Non-Members for $10 per person.
Seeking Firefighters - The Smithfield Fire Department seeks qualified candidates to establish an eligibility list. You can obtain additional information in the online information packet or at Smithfield Town Hall, HR Dept 2nd fl, 64 Farnum Pike Smithfield, RI 02917. Previous candidates must reapply.

YMCA Outdoor Yoga - Outdoor Yoga classes meet Tuesday 7 a.m. and/or Saturday 8 a.m. at the pavilion inside Deerfield Park from July 2 to Aug. 24. Bring a beach towel or yoga mat, sun glasses and water. Register by calling 401-949-2480.

Yoga outdoors has numerous benefits and is a great summer workout. Practicing on an uneven surfaces such as grass or sand can help build the secondary muscles of the feet, hips, knees and spine, while also engaging the stabilizing muscles of the abdominals and low back which are key muscles groups.
Relay - Smithfield's Relay for Life - an all-night walking relay, party and fundraiser to bolster research into a cure and treatments for cancer - is coming up June 22 at Smithfield High School's track, 90 Plesant View Ave. Mark it off on your calendar, look up relayers and donate to their teams, or join up.
Give Blood tomorrow - On Wednesday, June 19 the Rhode Island Blood Center Bloodmobile will be at the Stop & Shop, 446 Putnam Pike, from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
National Grid survey - National Grid will be conducting a leakage survey in Smithfield. Grid officials will be going door to door and may be seen walking on private property in order to read outside meters. Those meters that are not accessible. officials will ask for access to the residence to check the meter. Those residents who are not home, a notice will be left in the door. All survey officials must wear photo identification.
The survey is expected to last until the end of 2013. A list of survey personnel, their dates of births and the vehicles they drive has been submitted to the Police Department. You may call the Smithfield Police Department at 231-2500 with any questions or concerns.
