With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, residents Irish for life and Irish for a day have traditional Irish fare on their minds.

Top of the list is corned beef, the salt-cured meat, popular with cabbage or in soup. Here are some local delis, sandwich shops and restaurants offering specials and dinners to diners with St. Patrick's Day cravings:

• Dave's Marketplace has specials on corned beef running through the weekend. Moses salted and unsalted is $4.99/lb and Hummel is $4.59/lb.

• J's Deli is running daily specials on corned beef sandwiches - on Wednesday they had The Lucky Charm (corned beef, horse radish) for $7.99. They're also selling stuffed cabage in honor of St. Patrick's Day. 

• Box Seats is selling corned beef and cabbage all weekend, as well as Reuben sandwiches.

• Crickets is selling all you can eat corned beef for $12.95, and their menu is half priced this week.

• Pleasant View Diner is offering a corned beef dinner on St. Patrick's Day for $6.49.
