3-Ton Weight Limit Placed On Tiverton Bridge
The small Fish Road Bridge carries about 9,000 vehicles per day over the Sin and Flesh Brook.
TIVERTON, RI —A weight limit was placed on Tiverton's Fish Road bridge following a recent inspection, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation said.
Vehicles larger than three tons will need to detour around the bridge using Route 24, Main Road, Highland Road and Bulgarmarsh Road. A detour map is available on the department's website.
The small bridge brings traffic over the Sin and Flesh Brook in Tiverton, carrying about 9,000 vehicles per day.
