7 Winning Lottery Tickets Each With $5K Prize Sold At Tiverton Store
The winner told RI lottery officials she played the numbers her late grandmother used to play and will use the money for student loans.
TIVERTON, RI — Elaine's Country Store in Tiverton sold seven separate big winning Numbers tickets in one day, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Tuesday.
Lottery officials said the winning tickets were all bought by one woman on Dec. 12, 2023. Each ticket had a $1 four-digit straight bet winning $5,000 each, for a total of $35,000.
The winner told lottery officials she played the numbers her late grandmother used to play: 2,3, 7, and 1. She said she will use the money to pay student loans.
