Deadline For Fall Soccer Registration Approaches

Join the 500 players of all ages from Tiverton, Little Compton, Westport and Fall River on the field this year with fall recreational league.

Open registration for the league ends July 30 and a $10 late fee will be applied to registration fees for late applicants. The cost for one child is $70, $110 for two children and $140 for three or more children. 

The league is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 15 of all abilities. Players from Little Compton and other surrounding communities are also welcomed to join a team.

Through a focus on sportsmanship, children develop strong team-building skills and always have fun, said Kelly Levesque, the league's recreation director.

Games are hosted on Tiverton fields on Saturdays between Aug. 25 and Oct. 27.

Players should have outdoor cleats or sneakers, shin guards and an appropriately-sized ball to play. All participating Tiverton Youth Soccer families will receive up to 25 percent off their entire order at Dick's Sporting Goods in Dartmouth, MA by picking up a coupon available on the Tiverton Youth Soccer website on Saturday, Aug. 11 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Tiverton Youth Soccer is a non-profit 501c3 organization that depends on the generosity of local businesses to keep costs down and the soccer balls rolling. For a tax-deductible fee, businesses from Tiverton and surrounding communities can sponsor up to three teams.

The cost to help support a single team is $300, to sponsor two teams costs $500 and for three teams, sponsorship costs $700. Each sponsorship level comes with free registration for a single player this fall.

Businesses that choose to sponsor a team will have their advertisements, links and contact information publicized on the Tiverton Youth Soccer organization's website.
