East Bay Foster Grandparent Program Needs Volunteers
Income eligible people ages 55+ are needed to help in local schools, Head Start sites, YMCAs, and libraries

The East Bay Foster Grandparent Program, a division of East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP), is currently recruiting community members throughout Rhode Island’s East Bay region who are 55 years of age or older and income-eligible to serve as Foster Grandparent volunteers in local schools, Head Start sites, YMCAs, and libraries.
Foster Grandparents may help guide students to higher academic achievement, provide one-on-one tutoring, mentor youth and teenagers all while earning compensation for the time devoted to the program. Foster Grandparents earn a weekly tax-free stipend with paid holidays, and they are provided a mileage allowance. At some sites, meals are provided.
For more information or to apply to be a Foster Grandparent please call Diane Palmer, Foster Grandparent Program Coordinator, at (401) 712-2743 or email dpalmer@ebcap.org.
