Four Rhode Island Beaches Closed For High Bacteria Levels

One beach is in Narragansett, one in Warwick and two in Tiverton.

TIVERTON, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended closing four beaches to swimming for high bacteria levels Wednesday afternoon.

Two of the beaches are in Tiverton, Grinnell’s Beach and Fogland Beach. The other two are Narragansett's Bonnet Shores and the Kent County YMCA Lower Pond in Warwick.

At this time, two other Rhode Island beaches remain closed: Irons Homestead in Chepachet and Dyer Woods Campground in Foster.
