LITTLE COMPTON, RI — Little Compton residents have another chance to get free at-home COVID-19 test kits. The town will distribute them this weekend at the public safety complex.

Tests will be handed out starting 11 a.m. on Sunday and will continue until all kits are gone. Everyone must show proof of residency to qualify.

Residents who already received free test kits from the town during the last round of distribution will not be eligible to receive kits this time around, the police department said.

The tests are a portion of the 500,000 additional kits that arrived in Rhode Island last week. The state allocated 70 percent to cities and towns, which were given out based on population. The remainder were given to community organizations and health equity zones.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the distribution will be on Saturday.
