Little Compton Police: Man Reports Alcohol Stolen from Fridge
Plus, a child was bitten by a dog and another resident got a scam phone call from someone pretending to be an IRS agent.

Little Compton police made no arrests last week, responded to one accident and handled a number of incidents.
Accidents
On Oct. 20, an 81-year-old Little Compton man sideswiped a mailbox while pulling out of a driveway, police said. The man wasn’t hurt and the cas sustained a minor scratch.
The accident occurred on Long Highway at around 3:04 p.m.

Incidents
- On Oct. 20, police took a report of a child that suffered a dog bite at around 2:34 p.m. The incident occurred on Burchard Avenue and police said the child had just minor injuries. The dog is up to date on all of its shots.
- On Oct. 21, a Mullin Hill Road resident told police that someone opened his fridge during the night. In the morning, alcohol was missing from inside.
- On Oct. 21 at around 6:03 p.m., a resident of Pottersville Road told police that a caller claimed to be from the Internal Revenue Service and demanded money.
- On Oct. 23 at 2:44 p.m., police responded to a Mullin Hill Road residence for a report of an unwanted person. Police said the unwanted person was placed on trespass notice.
- On Oct. 23 at 3:51 p.m., a resident of Long Highway reported a stray dog was in her yard. THe dog was transported to the Sakonnet Vet.
- On Oct. 23 at 6:43 p.m., a resident turned in two sets of keys found on John Dyer Road. They were put in the lost and found at police headquarters.
- On Oct. 24 at 3:54 p.m., a South Shore Road resident reported that her mailbox and stone wall was struck sometime overnight by a vehicle. Police documented the incident.
- On Oct. 24 at 10:21 p.m., police were dispatched to a Wild Cherry Drive residence for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, police said the band agreed to stop the music and the party was dispersed.
