MA Man Dead After Motorcycle Crash In Tiverton

Tiverton police say the motorcyclist lost control on Route 24 northbound before leaving the right lane and crashing.

TIVERTON, RI — A Massachusetts man died in a motorcycle crash in Tiverton over the weekend, according to police.

Police said the crash happened around 5 p.m. Sunday on Route 24 northbound.

When first responders arrived, they found Michael Lees, 27, of Westport, Massachusetts, suffering from serious injuries. Police said Lees was rushed to St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts, before being transferred to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Lees succumbed to his injuries at Rhode Island Hospital, police said.

Before Lees crashed, he was traveling in the low speed lane near Exit 4. Police said he lost control and suddenly left the lane before crashing.
