Massachusetts Man Arrested On Drug Charges
A Whitman, MA man was arrested on multiple drug charges after police found him wandering Fish Road.

A Whitman, MA man was charged on multiple drug counts after Tiverton police received reports that a suspicious man was wandering the streets around Fish Road at 10:40 p.m. on July 14.
According to Lt. Patrick Jones, public information officer, officers found Jonathan Raposo, 28, of 519 Hog Memorial Drive, Whitman, MA, in the area of Fish Road. According to reports, Raposo told officers that he abandoned his car in a driveway because he believed he as being chased.
Police found Raposo's car nearby, it had gone off of te road and struck a pole.

"Upon removing the vehicle, officers found inside suspected marijuana, Oxycodone, 110 pills of an unknown scheduled substance and 17 Alprazolam," said Jones. "He had a number of controlled substances which he admitted to ."
Police were unable to identify the unknown pills, but seized them for testing.

He was charged with possession of marijuana and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Raposo was arraigned before a bail commissioner and was released on $2,000 bail with surety.
