Recycle Your Christmas Tree By Feeding It To Goats
One Tiverton resident noted how healthy pine trees are for goats, and asks locals to bring them by to "recycle" them.

TIVERTON, RI — Rhode Islanders can recycle their Christmas trees in one of the best ways possible: feed them to some thankful furry friends. Russ Smith, a Tiverton resident, is asking anybody who wants to get rid of their Christmas tree to do so at his home, where it will be devoured by some hungry goats.
"Not only do they love them, but it’s good for them," Smith said, according to a Providence Journal report. "They’re loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. It’s a natural de-wormer."
Smith told the Journal that worms and parasites are a leading cause of goat deaths, so the annual influx of Christmas trees provides a good defense.

The goats eat the needles and strip the bark from the tree, doing a great job of recycling.
