LITTLE COMPTON, RI — Construction is underway on Little Compton's Maple Avenue. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible while crews work to repave the road.

Construction started Monday and is expected to last two to three weeks, Little Compton police said.

"Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation," the department said.
