Rotary Club of Fall River Announces $14,000 in College Scholarships

Introducing the Kathy Castro Memorial Scholarship for Students Studying the Arts

Fall River, MA – April 3, 2025 – The Rotary Club of Fall River is proud to announce the launch of its 2025 College Scholarship Program, offering 14 scholarships of $1,000 each to deserving high school students in the community. Applications are now open, and eligible students are encouraged to apply by Friday, April 25, 2025.

Rooted in the Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self,” this scholarship seeks to recognize students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to service and making a positive impact in their schools and communities. While community service and extracurricular activities weigh heavily in the evaluation process, applicants' overall high school experience is also considered.

Introducing the Kathy Castro Memorial Scholarship

This year, the Rotary Club of Fall River is honored to offer a special scholarship in memory of our fellow Rotarian and dear friend, the late Kathy Castro. The Kathy Castro Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student who plans to pursue a degree in fine arts or performance in college. Kathy was a passionate advocate for the arts, and this scholarship celebrates her lasting impact on our community and commitment to inspiring young artists.
