TIVERTON, RI — Tiverton residents can pick up free, at-home COVID-19 test kits at the high school Thursday evening.

The town will give out the test kits from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. using a drive-through setup at the school at 100 North Brayton Rd. Proof of residency will be required, and one kit will be allowed per person.

The tests are a portion of the 500,000 additional kits that arrived in Rhode Island in late January. The state allocated 70 percent to cities and towns, which were given out based on population. The remainder were given to community organizations and health equity zones.
