Tiverton Fire Contained to Bedroom

A house fire on Brayton Road was quickly extinguished by Tiverton firefighters on Monday night.

Firefighters were dispatched to 21 Brayton Road at around 7:31 p.m. for a report of smoke coming from the front door.

Firefighters entered the house and found a fire in a rear bedroom. The fire was put out before the fire spread beyond the room.

Firefighters remained at the scene to clear smoke from the house.

There were no initial reports of any injuries.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family of four adults and has provided personal care and other items lost in the fire.
