At the beginning of the 2022-23 school year, Tiverton Public Schools partnered with the company so that all students in grades six through 12 could gain access to unlimited, 24/7 academic support, including on-demand, virtual tutoring and a writing review center — all at no cost to students and families.
To date, more than 85% of Tiverton students have taken advantage of the service, resulting in more than 600 hours of live tutoring and 4,000 pieces of written work being reviewed.

Paper instantly connects students to tutors who help them study for tests, complete assignments, and explore new topics. Unlimited support is available for all subjects and in multiple languages, anytime and from anywhere. Students can also upload written work of any kind, from book reports to resumes and more, for detailed feedback.
"We had great success last year providing tutoring to those students who were academically needy,” said Superintendent Peter Sanchioni. “With that as a backdrop, Paper now allows us to provide tutoring to all students, even our students taking AP classes, who sometimes need a helping hand. I have heard from many students and parents that this program is making a difference. That was what we were after, making a positive difference."
Teachers and administrators can review student activity and track progress on the Paper platform. With handy reporting capabilities, they can pinpoint where students need help and where they’re excelling.
“The tutor was patient and never directly answered questions. Instead, he helped me figure it out on my own,” said one 9th grader in a survey response.
“The tutor was very knowledgeable and was able to really help me while also complimenting my writing skills,” said another student.
According to internal data compiled by Paper, the 2,341 sessions recorded so far clocked in at an average of 16 minutes each. Math was by far the most popular subject during these tutoring sessions. A large portion of the review written work came from English Language Arts courses.
