Tiverton Trash Delayed, How Much Snow Fell

TIVERTON-LITTLE COMPTON, RI — Trash pickup will be delayed by one day in Little Compton this week due to the snow that fell throughout the day Sunday and into Monday morning. As a result, pickup will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.

Both Tiverton and Little Compton schools had a one-hour delay Monday due to the snow.

Tiverton had about six-and-a-half inches of snow accumulation, according to the National Weather Service. Little Compton had the least in Newport County and 4.2 inches. Portsmouth had the highest accumulation in the county at 8.5 inches, more than twice that of Little Compton.
