Tiverton's Grinnell, Fogland Beaches To Reopen For Swimming

The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended they reopen on Saturday after they'd been closed to swimming for high bacteria levels.

TIVERTON, RI — A pair of Tiverton beaches closed for swimming this week because of high bacteria levels were cleared to reopen on Saturday.

The RI Department of Health recommended reopening Grinnel's Beach and Foglands Beach because bacteria levels were back at acceptable levels.

The two beaches were closed on Wednesday.

The RIDOH said it will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout the summer.
