TIVERTON, RI — Tiverton residents can get a free, at-home COVID-19 tests from the town on Monday evening. Test kits will be distributed on a first-come, first served basis.

The tests will be distributed from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Tiverton High School on N. Brayton Road. Proof of residency will be required, and a limited number will be available.

The tests were part of the 500,000 at-home kits that arrived in the state earlier this month. They were distributed to cities, towns and community organizations. Municipalities received 70 percent of the test kits, distributed based on population size. Tiverton officials did not say how many test kits the town received from the state.
