Woman Sustains Serious Injuries After Crash

A woman sustained serious injuries Sunday evening after the vehicle she was operating crashed into a utility pole on Fish Road, reports WPRI.com. 

WPRI.com reports a woman's vehicle rolled over after striking the utility pole at 10:30 p.m.

Emergency personnel used the Jaws of Life to rescue the woman, who was then transported to a nearby hospital. Her medical condition and identity are unknown. 

Several Tiverton residents reported on Tiverton Patch's Facebook page they saw flickering lights Sunday evening near the crash.

However, a National Grid spokesman said the company did not receive any reports of a power outage Sunday night.
