• Dorothy Briggs Rouse (wsjm.com) — Warwick readers may remember Dorothy Briggs Rouse, who graduated from Lockwood High School and married in Warwick before a long career with the Rhode Island Hemophilia Foundation. The 92-year-old, formerly of Rhode Island and Florida, died December 10 and will be laid to rest at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, with a private graveside service planned later.
   

• South Kingstown students honor teen killed in hit-and-run crash with door artworks (turnto10.com) — Warwick readers may recall that teen Olivia Passaretti was killed when her car was forced off I‑95 in Warwick; now South Kingstown High School students are honoring her with heartfelt artwork on classroom doors. Her family visited the school, finding comfort in how students captured Olivia’s joyful spirit and used the project to promote responsible choices through the SMART club.
