Elderly MA Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Woonsocket Parking Lot

WOONSOCKET, RI — An elderly Massachusetts woman died after being hit by a car in a parking lot in Woonsocket on Saturday morning, according to police.

Police said the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot where Ocean State Job Lot and Tractor Supply Company are on Diamond Hill Road. The crash victim was rushed to Landmark Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police later identified the victim as Kathleen Tascione, 74, of Bellingham, Massachusetts.

Police said the driver remained on scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
