Police Log: Woonsocket High Students Arrested For Marijuana Possession
The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Woonsocket Police arrested two Woonsocket High School students for possession of marijuana Jan. 24 at about 3 p.m. after receiving a report of an odor of marijuana in the boys restroom.
When Officer Michael Theroux arrived at the school, he spoke with Christine Brennan, who said a student had notified her the boys restroom smelled like marijuana. She said she and a male staff member entered the restroom together to confirm the odor, then checked the hall pass list, finding three students who were in the halls at that time: Nicholas Caterino, 18, a 17-year-old, and a 14-year-old.

All three were removed from their classes and questioned. Each student produced a bag of what appeared to be marijuana, and Caterino also produced a bong, but all stated they hadn't been smoking the substance.
At the station, tests on all three bags revealed that the 14-year-old's bag wasn't actually marijuana. He was released to his guardian.

The bags belonging to 17-year-old and Caterino tested positive, however. Both were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense.
The 17-year-old's report was forwarded to the Juvenile Detective Division.
