Woonsocket Woman Embezzled And Stole: Cops
The Woonsocket woman also obtained property by false pretenses, police said.
WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket woman was charged with embezzling and stealing, police said.
Maria Peralta, 37, was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. Monday and charged with embezzlement and fraudulent conversion, obtaining property by false pretenses or personation, unlawful appropriation, fraudulent use of credit cards, access to a computer for fraudulent purposes and stealing as larceny, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Peralta was processed, arraigned and given a Third District Court date, according to the release.
