Storefront Vandal Arrested in Market Square After Struggle
The following information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On July 13, at about 8 a.m., Woonsocket Police officer James Dybala spotted Saul Mario Reyes, 26, of 3 Oak St., Apt. 2 near Market Square, arresting him on a warrant for vandalism after a brief struggle.
At 1:15 a.m. June 22, Reyes walked up to the front door of City Side Liquors, Barcardi bottle in hand, and used it to strike the front door twice, cracking it, according to police reports. Police know Reyes did this because he was caught in the act on video.
At about 11:49 a.m. on June 22, Officer Gregory Klocek responded to City Side Liquors at 61 Hamlet Ave. for a vandalism report. An employee at the store said he'd come in that day to find the front glass door cracked, and said he had video of the vandalism taking place. In the video, Reyes uses the bottle to strike the door twice, but never attempts to gain access, according to Klocek's report. The employee identified the man in the video as Reyes, a regular customer.
On July 13, Officer James Dybala spotted Reyes on Main Street near Market Square and, after discovering a warrant on him for vandalism, stopped his cruiser in an attempt to talk with him. Reyes kept walking, ignoring the officer.
Dybala announced himself as an officer and asked him to stop twice, but Reyes didn't acknowledge him. Finally, Dybala caught up to him on foot, arresting Reyes, who struggled before Dybala could handcuff him. On his way to Woonsocket Police Headquarters, Reyes made several threats to Dybala and continued to be verbally agressive with officers during processing.
Reyes was charged with two counts of vandalism and one count of resisting arrest.
