Yard Waste Collections End This Week

The City says the week of Nov. 27 through Dec. 2 is the last this year for yard waste collections.

WOONSOCKET, RI—The City says the week of Nov. 27 through Dec. 2 is the last this year for yard waste collections. Here is the press release.

Curbside pickup of yard waste (grass clippings, small branches, weeds, etc.) will end on residents’ designated trash/recycling collection day during the week of November 27 through December 2. Curbside yard waste collection will resume in April 2018.

Residents are reminded that it is illegal to throw yard waste in the household waste collection carts (trash and/or recycle carts). Carts containing yard waste cannot be serviced.

Additionally, the yard waste drop-off site in Blackstone, MA accessed by Canal Street in North Smithfield will close for the winter season on Saturday, December 2. The site will re-open in April 2018.
