The Charleston County Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program announces a free business development workshop on Wednesday, August 8, from 1-5 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building located at 4045 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston, in the EOC conference room on the third floor.
The workshop is called “How to Respond to a Government Solicitation,” and will be led by SC Small Business Development Center procurement specialists Linda Blanton and Steve Taylor. Charleston County Procurement Director Barrett Tolbert will present an overview of the County’s procurement methods and operations.
“This is a much requested workshop that we are finally able to bring to fruition for the benefit of all sizes of business concerns,” said Charleston County SBE Program Manager Susan Hogan. “The workshop will provide insight for business owners who are ready to pursue contract opportunities as prime bidders, or are ready to start training for when that opportunity may present itself. This will be a well-attended, forum-style tutorial session that promises to zero-in on the fine details of how to prepare a response to a competitive bid.”
