• Lowcountry community honors 23-year-old who died from sickle cell disease (live5news.com) — A North Charleston community gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember 23-year-old Jamar Jordan Gray, who died from sickle cell disease earlier this month. Family and friends shared stories about his creativity, faith, and kindness while urging others to support people living with sickle cell. His funeral is scheduled for Friday at North Charleston Chapel, offering another chance for locals to pay their respects.
