
Charleston Parks Conservancy, Chapel Street Fountain, November 29th 9-11am
Volunteers are needed on November 29th from 9 to 11 a.m. in an effort to clean up and spruce up the area. Come and learn about the park, horticulture and assist in making this a beautiful place to be in Charleston. If you're able to come lend a hand, please bring along your own pruners, garden gloves and a garden bucket. Contact, racevolunteer@kiawahresort.com, to volunteer. Volunteers will receive a race t-shirt. Volunteers are needed to assist with course clean-up and at our resource recovery stations. Volunteer positions available: 10-15 people from 10am until 4pm for course clean up. Persons must be able to walk 2-3 miles, bend to pick up trash and compostable items, and carry bags of these materials for short distances. Lunch will be provided. Water and Gatorade, in addition to port-o-lets will be on the course. 10 people from 9am until 3pm to staff the waste recovery stations, located at the race venue. Volunteers will be assisting runners, friends, and family in separating their trash, recyclables, and compostable material. The success of our waste reduction effort will literally be in your hands and our event staff greatly appreciates your efforts! These volunteers will be close to restrooms and the staff snack room.

The group will meet at the green space near the mailboxes on Brewster Court (enter on Coming St. between Spring St. and Cannon St.). Volunteers will receive a T-shirt as supplies are available. Event captain, Mrs. Jones, will be on site to lead the cleanup. Cleanup supplies will be available for volunteers.
