Magwood Drive Lane Closure Scheduled for Thursday

Charleston County Government announces the following traffic alert regarding nighttime lane closures for the completed project, Glenn McConnell Parkway/I-526 Improvements Project, so workers can make road repairs

• Southbound lane closures will occur on Thursday, Jan. 3, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Magwood Drive between Glenn McConnell Parkway and the Home Depot store driveway. 
• At least one lane will remain open at all times for drivers traveling along Magwood Drive toward Glenn McConnell Parkway, and workers will direct traffic through the closures.
• All road work is dependent on weather. If the weather is poor tonight, work will continue on the next weather-permitting night.

The project was completed in May 2011 and was funded by the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax.
