Charleston County Government announces the following traffic alert regarding a nighttime lane closure for the Glenn McConnell Parkway/I526 Improvements Project in West Ashley so workers can investigate possible utility repairs needed:
- The right turn lane will be closed on Oct. 11-12 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Magwood Drive between Glenn McConnell Parkway and the Home Depot driveway.
- Workers will direct traffic through the closure.
- All road work is dependent on weather. If the weather is poor this week, work will continue on the next weather-permitting night.
Drivers traveling through the project’s construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the area at all times. The public is also asked to notice traffic control signs.
