The 10th Annual Coat &amp; Clothes Giveaway for the Homeless, Veterans and the Needs will be held Sunday, Jan. 1. At the corner of Meeting and Jackson streets downtown donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Organizers will accept adult and children's clothing in all sizes, including pants, shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, hats, socks and more. Footwear in good/fair conditions will also be accepted, along with non-perishable food items. Groups participating in the collection include Lowcountry 9.12, local churches and church organizations and neighborhood nad community groups. Event sponors are S.C. State Sen. Robert Ford, S.C. State Rep. Chip Limehouse and S.C. State Rep. Wendell Gilliard.
